I'm leaving with tears in my eyes
Humboldt and Orotava
An easy 3-hour hiking excursion in Teide National Park. We'll follow the ancient paths of the Guanches, goatherds, sulfur miners, and others—paths used by Humboldt in the late 18th century when he was guided to the summit of Mount Teide. In this lunar landscape, we'll enjoy the almost untouched traces left by the formidable forces of Teide's interior, retracing the steps of the great explorer. Afterward, we'll descend to the town of La Orotava and stroll through its cobbled streets. One of the most beautiful towns in the Canary Islands, and in our opinion, the most beautiful. Steep streets descend from the summit toward the sea. Windmills and traditional Canarian houses built of stone, mud, and pine are just some of the sights to see. A must-see in Tenerife. And to finish, we'll enjoy some sweets at Ergon's.
Humboldt Orotava
The summit reaches an altitude of 2000 meters. Winters are usually cold, so a warm jacket is always recommended. Being above the clouds at this high altitude also means greater solar radiation. Therefore, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat or cap are essential. Good hiking boots, water (2 liters), and some snacks are also necessary.
In case you need boots, jackets, walking sticks, and backpacks, we have them.
